Government-Integrated AI Literacy Training programs and the integration of the GramKushal digital platform

Shop for Change marked a significant milestone in its digital empowerment journey through the successful implementation of Government-Integrated AI Literacy Training programs and the integration of the GramKushal digital platform at Jawhar. Through this initiative, more than 125 farmers were introduced to AI-enabled agricultural practices and digital tools designed to strengthen productivity, improve decision-making, and build resilience within rural farming communities.

As part of the initiative, three intensive batches of AI Literacy Training were conducted for farmers and rural community members in alignment with Government-supported training frameworks. The program was designed to strengthen digital awareness and build practical understanding of emerging technologies in agriculture while ensuring participants received recognised digital certifications connected with national initiatives such as Digital India and the Agri-Stack ecosystem.

The training sessions introduced farmers to practical applications of Artificial Intelligence in agriculture, including real-time pest identification, hyper-local weather forecasting, crop advisory systems, and data-driven farming practices. Through interactive and hands-on learning, farmers were encouraged to adopt technology-driven solutions that can improve productivity, reduce crop loss, and support informed agricultural decision-making.

A key milestone of this initiative was the operational integration of the GramKushal digital platform, which now serves as a continuous learning and support ecosystem for rural communities. The platform enables access to training resources, government scheme information, market linkages, and digital services — helping bridge the gap between technology, knowledge, and rural livelihoods.

This initiative reinforces Shop for Change’s commitment to creating sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready rural ecosystems through innovation, collaboration, and community-driven impact.
